High Level Description

In a collaboration between design and product development consultancy Knightec and tech startup xTactor, we offer a unique thesis opportunity within digi-physical Interaction design, developing a Haptic User Experience for screenless communication devices.
Based on the xTactor technologies, products and concepts, with support from the Knightec Design team, you will focus on developing the potential in Haptic User interface for wearable, screenless personal communication devices- adding the sense of touch to language.
Project Description/Purpose Core focus on, but not limited to, a screenless wrist band application.

Formulate the challenges, scope and plan with Knightec and xTactor. Understand users and challenges in context to gather user insights. Analyze and synthesize findings into conclusions and design direction. Ideate, prototype and test a multitude of design concepts. Evaluate, select, refine and deliver a final concept and report.

Who are we looking for?

M.Fa / M.Sc student in Interaction design / UX-design / Product development or equivalent. Passion for User-centric design, digi-physical Product development and Circular design. Fluent in Swedish and/or English. Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team. Hybrid or full time on site at Knightec Design department in Stockholm. The thesis project can be published and used in personal portfolio as well as company marketing.
